Buccaneers “Very Much In The Mix” For DE George Selvie

Darren Wolfson reports that the Buccaneers are “very much in the mix” for free agent DE George Selvie.

  • Wolfson adds that the Vikings aren’t as involved at this point in time. Although, he admits that the situation remains fluid.

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press previously reported that the Vikings had reached out to Selvie a few weeks ago, and were in contact with him in recent days.

However, it looks like Selvie may have a more serious suitor in the Buccaneers.

Selvie, 28, is among the best defensive linemen still available in free agency, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a team move quickly to get him under contract in the coming days.

In 2014, Selvie appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 30 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, a recovery and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 37 defensive end in a 3-4 defense out of 59 qualifying players.
