Buccaneers Waive LB Josh Keyes

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they’ve waived LB Josh Keyes on Monday to make room for DT John Hughes, who has been signed to their active roster.

Keyes, 23, signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2015 and bounced on and off the team’s practice squad.

He was unable to make the team coming out off the preseason, but was signed to their practice squad a few days after he was cut. He also had a brief stint on the Chiefs’ practice squad before returning to Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers signed Keyes to their practice squad coming out of the preseason and later promoted him to their active roster. The Bucs cut Keyes loose last week before bringing him back a few days later.

This season, Keyes has been active for four games and has recorded three tackles.
