Buccaneers Waive QB Dan LeFevour

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed QB Dan LeFevour on waivers Tuesday, according to Greg Auman.

This move will clear a roster spot for OL Caylin Hauptmann, who was signed to a contract today.

LeFevour, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He lasted just a few months in Chicago before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Bengals.

Cincinnati cut LeFevour loose during the 2011 season. He later had a brief stint with the Colts before signing on with the Jaguars in at the end of the 2011 season.

The Buccaneers elected to sign him to a contract in April, which was his first opportunity with an NFL team since he was waived by the Jaguars at the start of the 2012 season.

LeFevour has yet to appear in an NFL game.
