Buccaneers Worked Out 6 Players Including LB Jayrone Elliott

According to Howard Balzer, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought in five free agents for workouts on Monday including LB Johnathan Calvin, LB Jayrone Elliott, LB Lamarr Houston, DE Cashaud Lyons, DE Pat O’Connor, and DE Larry Webster.

Of this group, the Buccaneers signed O’Connor and Webster to their practice squad.

The 49ers, Colts and Seahawks have recently worked out Elliott but he did not receive an offer from any of these teams.

Elliott, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out Toledo back in 2014. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,535,000 rookie contract with the Packers but did not receive a restricted offer from the team, which is why he’s been testing the open market.

Elliott re-signed with the Packers this offseason but was traded to the Cowboys at the start of the regular season for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2018. Dallas elected to cut Elliott loose after a few weeks.

In 2016, Elliott appeared in 11 games for the Packers and recorded 19 tackles and sack.
