Buccaneers Worked Out 9 Players Including DE Kroy Biermann & DL Kyle Love

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Buccaneers worked out DE Kroy Biermann and G Josh LeRibeus on Monday.

Biermann, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2008. He’s spent his entire eight-year NFL career in Atlanta and is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

The Bills signed him to a contract close to a month ago before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason.

In 2015, Biermann appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 54 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 79 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players.

Love, 29, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in 2010. After three years in New England, Love had brief stints with the Jaguars and Chiefs before eventually catching on with the Panthers in 2014.

Unfortunately, Love was among one of the Panthers’ final roster cuts as they trimmed down to 53 players.

In 2015, Love appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and recorded 19 tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery.
