Buccaneers Worked Out DL Jerel Worthy & RB Mike Gillislee

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Buccaneers worked out three players this week including DL Jerel Worthy, DL Derrick Lott, RB Mike Gillislee.

Worthy, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2012. However, he lasted just two years in Green Bay and sustained a serious knee. Upon returning, the Packers traded him to the Patriots for a conditional draft pick, but he was unfortunately cut loose.

Since then, Worthy has had brief stints with the Chiefs and Lions.

Worthy hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he was still playing for the Packers.

Gillislee, 23, was a fifth-round pick of the Dolphins in the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent just over two years in Miami before he was among their roster cuts a few weeks ago.

The Falcons later added him to their practice squad, but wound up removing him a few days later.

He hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since his rookie season.
