Buccaneers Worked Out 3 Including Veteran WR Nate Washington

Adam Caplan reports that the Buccaneers worked out veteran WR Nate Washington on Tuesday.

  • Tampa Bay also worked out RBs Austin Johnson and Will Ratelle, according to Howard Balzer.

Washington previously worked out for the Lions but was not signed to a contract after the session.

Washington, 32, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Tiffin back in 2005. He wound up playing out his rookie contract before signing a free agent deal with the Titans.

The Texans wound up signing him to a one-year contract last year. Washington caught on with Patriots this past March when he signed a one-year, $1.065 million contract. However, he was cut loose during the final week of the preseason.

In 2015, Washington appeared in 14 games for the Texans and recorded 47 receptions for 658 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 76 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.
