Bucs DE Da’Quan Bowers Has Gun Charges Reduced

Mike Garafolo of USA Today reports that Buccaneers DE Da’Quan Bowers had his felony and misdemeanor charges dismissed on Thursday, according to his attorney.

Bowers pled guilty to disorderly conduct for carrying a loaded weapon into an airport in New York. He’ll pay a $250 fine and $120 surcharge.

Garafolo adds that NFL is still expected to do their own investigation into the matter, which means there’s still a chance that Bowers could be suspended.

However, Stephen Holder mentions that the Buccaneers do not anticipate any discipline being handed down by the league in regards to this situation.

This is obviously great news for the Bucs and Bowers, as it seemed as though there was a chance he could be facing prison time.
