Buc’s Moving Ronde Barber To Safety?

Dan Pompei of the National Football Post reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may consider moving CB Ronde Barber to safety next season.

Barber, 36, chose to return to the NFL for one more season and the Buccaneers could really use some extra depth at the cornerback position so it makes sense. They’ve been rumored to be targeting LSU CB Morris Claiborne in this years draft, but they recently signed Eric Wright and should have Aqib Talib for at least some portion of the 2012 season, so moving Barber to safety would give them a vastly improved secondary from their 2011 unit.
