According to Greg Auman, the Buccaneers have placed G J.R. Sweezy and WR Louis Murphy on their reserve/phyically unable to perform list.
- Additionally, Auman writes the Bucs have recalled LB Jeremiah George and S Kimario McFadden from their waivers.
Sweezy, 27, was taken in the seventh-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He’s played out his rookie contract and was one of the better guard in this year’s free agent market.
The Buccaneers signed Sweezy to a five year, $32.5 million contract that includes $14.5 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2016 season.
In 2015, Sweezy appeared in 15 games for the Seahawks and was rated by Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 69 guard out of 82 qualifying players.
