Buffalo Benching Edwards For Fitzpatrick

The Buffalo Bills have become the second team on Monday to bench their starting quarterback in favor of a backup. Bills head coach Chan Gailey said that Ryan Fitzpatrick will start in place of the struggling Trent Edwards per Chad Brown of BuffaloBills.com.

Gailey summed up his decision by saying that, “We’re looking for a spark.”

So far Edwards has only managed to produce 241 passing yards to go with 1 touchdown and 2 int’s. Dick Jauron  made a similar move last season but was still unable to find the elusive spark that the Bills have been looking for some time now.

Things will not be getting any easy for the struggling Bills who will have to face the Patriots that are coming off of a tough loss to the rival Jets.
