Buffalo Bills Looking To Hire Quarterbacks Coach

The Buffalo Bills HC Doug Marrone told reporters on Monday that he intends to add a quarterbacks coach to his staff.

We’re looking at quarterback coaches,” Marrone said, via The Buffalo News. “One of the things that happened when we had those injuries was trying to get three quarterbacks ready. And having just Nathaniel was a very difficult situation, one that we didn’t foresee, but it was the situation we were in. We have a young stable of quarterbacks right now. We want to make sure we add people.”

This season, Nathaniel Hackett handled both offensive coordinator and quarterback coaching duties, so it appears as though they would like to free up some of his time to focus more on the offense as a whole.

This move really makes a good deal of sense as they will hopefully be able to find someone knowledgeable enough to aid the development of 2013 first-round pick EJ Manuel.

Marrone added that they are already in the process of interviewing candidates for the defensive coordinator position in the even that Mike Pettine departs to be the Browns next head coach.

  1. So many names out there for a QB Coach. Who do we get? AVP gone. F. Reich gone. T. Dilfer gone. How about EJ’s off season QB guru, forget his name, he’s the guy helping EJ during the off season for a few years now, would he be a good choice? GO BILLS!!
