Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson Gets Contract Extension

Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network is reporting that the Buffalo Bills have come to terms on a “multi-year” extension for running back Fred Jackson.

The Bills will be holding a press conference at 2PM to announce the deal.

Jackson, who played in NFL Europa in 2006, was having a great 2011, surpassing the 100-yard mark in six of Buffalo’s first ten games, but suffered a fractured fibula in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins, and was subsequently put on injured reserve. He’s currently 31 years old, so there’s a good chance that this contract could be front-loaded.
