Report: Bills RB C.J. Spiller Will Play Thursday

Update:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Bills RB C.J. Spiller will play against the Browns Thursday night, despite his sprained ankle.

Bills RB C.J. Spiller told reporters on Monday that his status for Week 5 is “up in the air,” per Albert Breer.

Breer adds that Spiller received treatment on his injured ankle Monday, which wasn’t as swollen as he thought it would be. Spiller mentioned that he is willing to play on Thursday at less than 100 percent.

“I think that’ll be enough for me to play,” Spiller said. He added that his “frustration level’s a ten.”

Following Sunday’s game, Spiller mentioned that it would tough for him play in Week 5, but there appears to be at least some hope of him suiting up on Thursday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned that Tashard Choice could see an “expanded role” on Thursday. Fred Jackson is dealing with a knee injury too, so this will be a situation we’ll be monitoring in the coming days.
