Cardinals & Buccaneers Interested In CB Robert McClain

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Cardinals and Buccaneers among the teams interested in free agent CB Robert McClain.

This is the first reported interest in McClain since the free agent market officially opened.

McClain, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He lasted just over a year in Carolina before he was waived at the start of the 2011 season.

McClain spent two years with the Falcons and had brief stints with the Patriots, Panthers and Chargers before signing a one-year contract with the Buccaneers shortly after last year’s draft.

In 2017, McClain has appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 50 tackles, three interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 84 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.
