Cardinals Release WR Early Doucet

The Arizona Cardinals have announced the release of WR Early Doucet, per Mike Jurecki.

Kent Somer reports that a source has informed him that the Cardinals “intend” to release WR Early Doucet.

Doucet, 27, has a $1.95 million base salary coming his next season and Somers adds that this move would free up $1.7 million in cap space for Arizona.

This should help last year’s first-round pick Michael Floyd see more playing in 2013.
