Cardinals Have Made Several Calls To Teams Regarding Available Pass Rushers

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals have made “many calls” regarding available pass rushers in recent days.

This shouldn’t come as a big surprise given that number of injuries they dealt with during the first half of the season.

Veteran outside linebackers John Abraham (concussion) and Matt Shaughnessy (knee) were both placed on injured reserve this season. However, Shaughnessy can still return as the Cardinals put on his on short-term injured reserve.

As for players that could be available, the 49ers are reportedly willing to listen to offers for OLB Corey Lemonier. and Raiders DL Justin Tuck‘s name came up as a player to watch leading up to today’s trade deadline. Although, Tuck probably is not a fit at 3-4 outside linebacker.

There’s only 20 minutes left until the trade deadline has passed, so it doesn’t look good for them acquiring some pass-rushing help.
