Cardinals HC Bruce Arians Could Consider Retirement After The Season?

According to Jason La Canfora, some in the coaching community expect Cardinals HC Bruce Arians to contemplate retirement after the season is out.

La Canfora points out that Arians’ health has been a concern in the past and he has already had two health scares this season.

Arians has reportedly talked of fearing for his life at times in past years due to health complications, according to La Canfora.

Last year, a team official told La Canfora that any talk of Arians retiring was just rumors and there wasn’t any merit to the idea. However, a number of coaches who know Arians believe he’ll reconsider retirement and some within in his family could even urge him to walk away.

Arians latest health scare was related to chest pains and before that he was hospitalized due to complications with Crohn’s disease.

Arians, 63, was hired by the Cardinals back in 2013 after he filled in for Colts HC Chuck Pagano while he was fighting cancer and managed to win Coach of the Year. During his four years with the Cardinals, Arians has led them to a record of 38-20-1 (65.3 percent), which includes two playoff appearances and a trip to the NFC Championship game last year.

We’ll have more regarding Arians as the news is available.
