Cardinals Hosting OLB Connor Barwin For Visit This Week

According to Adam Schefter, the Cardinals are bringing in free agent OLB Connor Barwin for a visit this week.

Last we heard regarding Barwin, Rams GM Les Snead told reporters a month ago that they were in talks with him about returning to Los Angeles. However, there haven’t been any updates about a new deal since then.

Barwin, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2009. He was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $36 million contract that included $8 million guaranteed when the Eagles released him last year,

The Rams later signed him to a one-year contract and he’s once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Barwin appeared in 14 games for the Rams and recorded 34 tackles, five sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 103 edge rusher out of 106 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
