Cardinals Interviewing Kliff Kingsbury Tuesday

According to Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are scheduled to interview USC OC Kliff Kingsbury for their head-coaching job on Tuesday.

Kingsbury met with the Jets on Monday and Rapoport says he impressed the team during the interview.

Adam Schefter reported that Arizona and Kingsbury are said to have “strong mutual interest.”

Before that, Alber Breer reported that there has been “steady buzz” over the last three or four days about Kingsbury being a “very strong possibility” for the Cardinals.

Kingsbury, 35, was hired as the Texas Tech head coach back in 2013 and spent six years in the position before he was fired back in November. USC later hired him as their offensive coordinator.

During his six seasons at Texas Tech, Kingsbury led them to a record of 35-40 (46.7 percent), which includes three Bowl game appearances.
