Cardinals Interviewing Todd Haley For HC Vacancy

There have been some conflicting reports as to whether or not Steelers OC Todd Haley will interview with the Cardinals for the head coaching vacancy.

Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the day that a Steelers’ source told him that he loves his Steelers job and added that he will not be interviewing with the team.

Since then, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that Haley will in fact be interviewing with the Cardinals today.

Haley is an interesting candidate for the Cardinals to bring in given that his time in Kansas City was a huge disappointment. Last year, it took Haley a while to even find work as a coordinator, but he does have ties to the Cardinals organization.

Arizona’s coaching search generated plenty of headlines shortly after the regular season was completed, which probably had something to do with Andy Reid and his reps leaking information to reporters, but since then they’ve shifted their focus to finding a GM.

Candidates for the Cardinals job include: Haley, Cardinals DC Ray Horton, Broncos OC Mike McCoy, Lovie Smith and Bengals OC Jay Gruden.
