Cardinals Likely To Limit Beanie Wells Workload Against The Rams

Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated that they plan on limiting RB Beanie Wells’ workload against the Rams this weekend.

“I think you got to get a feel for it,” said Whisenhunt, via AzCardinals.com. “I certainly don’t think he’s going to get an overload of work … There’s going to be a little bit of a curve with him adjusting to the game.”

Considering that Wells is just coming off of the injured reserve list, it makes sense that they would limit his workload right of the gate. La’Rod Stephens-Howling has earned at least a share of the carries this weekend, so it will be interesting to see if they use him as a third-down back or if he’ll actually split carries.

Arizona’s quarterbacks, as well as their offensive line have been a huge issues all season, so it’s hard to assume that getting Wells back will be enough to make them a respectable offense.
