Cardinals Could Be In The Market For CB Help

John Weinfuss of ESPN.com breaks down the Cardinals cornerback position as they prepare for free agency.

According Weinfuss, there is a “good chance” that Arizona could release CB Jerraud Powers, despite the fact that they signed him to a three-year deal worth $10.5 million just last year. Doing so would free up $2.75 million, according to Overthecap.com.

As for free agent targets, Weinfuss lists Dominique Rodgers-CromartieWalter ThurmondSam Shields, Tracy Porter, Alterraun Verner and Aaron Ross as some players that would fall into their price range.

The Cardinals are projected to have a little over $9 million in available cap space as things stand right now. Of course, this can change depending on what they elect to do with Powers and some other players in the next few weeks.

We have most of these guys listed in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
