Cardinals Notes: Kevin Kolb, Adrian Wilson, Greg Toler

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that there’s been “no indication” that the Cardinals have met with Kevin Kolb‘s representatives about restructuring his current contract.

Somers adds that the two sides could meet in the near future, considering that Kolb is due a $2 million roster bonus on March 17. Somers believes Kolb will have to a pay cut from his $9 million salary for the upcoming season to be back with the team.

Arizona seems to be open to the idea of keeping Kolb, assuming of course that he reworks his deal, but it will be interesting to see how he fits into new head coach Bruce Arians’ offense.

The Cardinals are expected to tender Brian Hoyer in the coming weeks as well and Matt Cassel‘s name has been floated as a speculative option.

Cardinals Notes:

  • CB Greg Toler’s agent is expected to meet with the Cardinals this week to discuss an extension.
  • Somers mentions that it “wouldn’t be a surprise” to see Arizona ask S Adrian Wilson to take a pay cut or possibly even release him.
  • Somers tosses out Chargers CB Antoine Cason as a potential option for the Cardinals.
