Cardinals Place LB Lamar Louis On Injured Reserve

The Arizona Cardinals officially placed LB Lamar Louis on injured reserve Thursday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Louis, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation on Wednesday.

Louis was active for the team’s season-opener on Sunday but did not record a single statistic.

During his college career, Louis recorded 96 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, no sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
