Cardinals Place RB D.J. Foster On IR, Re-Sign RB Darius Victor

The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they’ve placed RB D.J. Foster (knee) on injured reserve and re-signed RB Darius Victor.

Foster suffered a torn ACL and MCL last week, so this move was expected.

Foster, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in 2016, but was waived a during the season. The Patriots added him to their practice squad, but lost him to the Cardinals the following year.

Foster returned to New England last year for a brief stint before returning to the Cardinals.

In 2017, Foster appeared in seven games for the Cardinals and rushed for 19 yards on six carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for 133 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also contributed 184 kick return yards.
