Cardinals Place S Chris Clemons On I.R. & Release TE Joseph Fauira From PS Squad

The Arizona Cardinals officially placed S Chris Clemons and LB Kenny Demens on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release.

  • The Cardinals also released TE Joseph Fauira from their practice squad with a settlement.

Clemons, 30, signed a two year, $2.7 million contract with the Cardinals back in March of last year. He stands to make a base salary of $745,000 for the 2015 season.

This year, Clemons has appeared in five games and recorded three tackles for Arizona.

Fauria, 25, was unfortunately among the Lions’ final roster cuts this past weekend, as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

The Cardinals elected to sign him to a contract a few weeks ago, but he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad since then.

In 2014, Fauria appeared in seven games and caught six passes for 74 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Lions.
