Cardinals Place DT Robert Nkemdiche & LB Thurston Armbrister On IR, Sign Three

The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they’ve placed DT Robert Nkemdiche and LB Thurston Armbrister on injured reserve.

• The Cardinals also signed DT Vincent Valentine off the Seahawks’ practice squad and added LB Jonathan Anderson.
• The Cardinals signed OL Justin Evans to their practice squad.

Nkemdiche, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $7.6 million contract and set to make base salaries of $1,231,872 and $1,122,808 over the final two years of the agreement.

The Cardinals will have to decide whether to pick up Nkemdiche’s fifth-year option next year.

In 2018, Nkemdiche appeared in 10 games for the Cardinals and recorded 32 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
