Cardinals Plan On Going With The Best QB Once John Skelton Is Healthy

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt mentioned that it’s too early to consider playing QB John Skelton this weekend against theĀ Eagles.

“We got to see if he’s able to handle a practice before we can make any kind of decision like that,” Whisenhunt said, via AzCardinals.com. “This is the first step in it. We’ll see how it progresses.”

Skelton was able to practice onĀ a limited basis yesterday, but Kevin Kolb will almost certainly be under center this weekend.

As for who will start moving forward,Ā Whisenhunt mentioned that they will end up making that decision at a later point in time.

“I don’t have any expectation of John than wanting to get back healthy and compete for the job,” said Whisenhunt, via NFL.com. “Once we get to that point, we’ll make that decision.”
