Cardinals Prepared To Move On Without ILB Karlos Dansby

Cardinals GM Steve Keim told reporters on Thursday that although they would like to re-sign ILB Karlos Dansby to a contract extension, they are prepared to move on, per Darren Urban.

Dansby has said that he would like to return to Arizona next season, but this could very well be his last opportunity to secure a multi-year contract.

Last offseason, after being cut by the Miami Dolphins, Dansby found few suitors, and eventually signed a one-year deal worth $2.25 million with Arizona.

Dansby had a very productive season in Todd Bowles scheme registering 135 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, and four interceptions from his inside linebacker position.

NFL teams have been hesitant to give out big money to aging players like Dansby who will be 33 in November. We have Dansby listed as the No. 44 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
