Cardinals Promote OT Vinston Painter, Waive Two

The Arizona Cardinals announced that they’ve promoted OT Vinston Painter to their active roster and waived WR Carlton Agudosi and LS Justin Drescher.

Painter, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Denver before he was waived and later signed to the Browns’ practice squad.

After a brief stint with the Giants, Painter signed on to the Dolphins practice squad midseason in 2015 and returned the team on a future’s deal. However, he was waived coming out of the preseason and later claimed off of waivers by the Redskins.

The Redskins re-signed Painter as an exclusive rights free agent this offseason but waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. Painter has been on and off of the Cardinals’ roster this season.

In 2017, Painter has been active for three games.
