Cardinals Promoting CB Chris Jones To Active Roster

According to Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are promoting CB Chris Jones to their active roster.

Jones, 23, wound up signing on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Lions but was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad.

During his college career, Jones recorded 76 tackles, five tackles for a loss, two sacks, five interceptions, a defensive touchdown, 16 pass defenses and one fumble recovery over the course of four seasons and 34 games played.
