Cardinals Delaying Decision Regarding QB Until Later On In The Offseason

Kent Somers from the Arizona Republic writes that the Cardinals may hold off on naming a starting quarterback until late in the summer.

“When it happens, it happens,” said Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt. “They’re going to have to go through different tests. You got to let this competition play out honestly. It’s got to be a fair competition. I’m excited to see how it goes.”

Whisenhunt faced the same situation in 2007 when he named Leinart over Warner despite the fact that some believed that Warner outplayed Leinart for the job. Skeleton went 5-2 as a starter last season, in contrast to the 3-6 record from Kolb.
