NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora reports that Cardinals RB Beanie Wells will miss 1-2 games after suffering a bone bruise on his right knee in Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Cardinals are in pretty bad shape and losing Wells for any period of time greatly impacts their offense attack but you could say that Cardinals were lucky in one sense as Wells seemingly avoided any ligament damage in the same knee that he injured last season. Next up on Arizona’s schedule is the leagues best defense the Baltimore Ravens. At 1-5 the Cardinals are exactly competing for much at this point but their continuous struggles could end up costing Ken Whisenhunt his job.
Alfonso Smith and La’Rod Stephens-Howling will fill in for the Cardinals while Wells is out.
