Cardinals Re-Sign OL Earl Watford, Cut OL Vinston Painter

The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve re-signed OL Earl Watford and released OL Vinston Painter.

  • The Cardinals also officially placed OLB Markus Golden on injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Watford, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract with Arizona before signing a two-year, $5 million contract with the Jaguars back in March.

Unfortunately, Jacksonville cut Watford loose a month ago.

In 2016, Watford appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 75 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
