Cardinals Re-Sign RB Kerwynn Williams

The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed RB Kerwynn Williams, who will take the roster spot of QB Zac Dysert.

Williams, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Colts back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Indianapolis before signing on to the Chargers’ practice squad.

The Cardinals would later sign him to their own practice squad during the 2014 season and he had been on and off of their practice squad since then.

Arizona ultimately elected to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players before re-signing him just a few week into the 2016 season.

In 2016, Williams appeared in 10 games for the Cardinals and recorded 18 carries for 157 rushing yards (8.7 YPC) and scored two touchdowns.
