- Adam Caplan first reported that the Cardinals were re-signing Ross last Friday.
Ross, 28, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2011. He has played for several teams since entering the NFL including the Colts, Packers, Lions, Ravens, Raiders, Jets and most recently for the Cardinals.
Last year, the Jets signed Ross to a one-year contract as an unrestricted free agent in April of last year. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster and was on and off of the team’s roster during the season before eventually catching on with the Cardinals and finishing out the year in Arizona.
In 2016, Ross was active for six games for the Jets and Cardinals and caught four passes for 37 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also totaled 224 kick return yards.
Martin, 24, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green back in 2015. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad at the start of the 2015 season.
Arizona eventually placed him on injured reserve in November of last year.
In 2016, Martin appeared in eight games and recorded four tackles and a fumble recovery for the Cardinals.
