Cardinals Reach Agreement On Three-Year Deal With S Antoine Bethea

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals have reached an agreement on a three-year deal with veteran S Antoine Bethea.

It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s compensatory picks, considering that he was released.

Bethea, 32, is a former sixth-round pick of the Colts back in 2006. He spent eight years in Indianapolis before signing a four-year, $21 million contract with the 49ers back in 2014.

Bethea was set to make a base salary of $5.25 million for the 2017 season when the 49ers recently released him.

In 2016, Bethea appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and recorded 110 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble, a recovery and four pass defenses.
