The Arizona Cardinals have released OLB Trevardo Williams, according to Darren Urban.
Arizona claimed Williams off of waivers close to a week ago after the Houston Texans parted ways with the former fourth-round pick.
Williams, 23, was the third notable draft pick from the Texans’ 2013 draft class to be waived after just one year with the team. Despite being the the No. 124 overall selection, Williams never appeared in a single game for the Texans.
During rookie season, Williams suffered what appeared to be a leg injury during the team’s final preseason game and was later placed on season-ending injured reserve.
