Cardinals Release QB Dennis Dixon From Practice Squad

The Arizona Cardinals released QB Dennis Dixon from their practice squad on Monday, according to Mike Jurecki.

  • Dixon made $6,300 for just a few days on the team’s practice squad last week.

This is a clear indication that the Cardinals are confident in the health of their other quarterbacks.

Dixon, 29, was signed to the team’s taxi squad on Tuesday of last week. He is a former fifth-round pick of the Steelers who has bounced around a bit since entering the league.

Dixon signed a future/reserve contract with the Bills back in December of last year, but was among their roster cuts as they began to trim their roster down to 53 players a few months ago.

He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2010 season.
