Cardinals Request Permission To Interview OC Bruce Arians

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Arizona Cardinals have asked the Indianapolis Colts for permission to interview offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.

Arians seemed to be a hot commodity in recent weeks, but now that a number of head coaching vacancies have been filled, Arians has slim pickings for a head coaching job.  The Cardinals do need a revamped offense and Arians could indeed provide that if they are able to stabilize the quarterback position. If Arizona does in fact hire an offensive minded coach, they could keep Ray Horton as the defensive coordinator seeing as he’s under contract for another year.

Other options include: Lovie Smith, Bengals OC Jay Gruden and Seahawks OC Darrell Bevel.
