Cardinals Sign DE Praise Martin-Oguike To Futures Deal

The Arizona Cardinals have signed DE Praise Martin-Oguike to a futures contract on Friday for the 2018 season, according to his agent David Canter.

As of now, the Cardinals have signed 11 players to futures deals including:

  1. WR Carlton Agudosi
  2. DT Peli Anau
  3. CB Jarell Carter
  4. OLB Vontarrius Dora
  5. CB Jonathan Moxey
  6. WR Rashad Ross
  7. DT Pasoni Tasini
  8. RB Darius Victor
  9. OL Josh Allen
  10. LS Drew Williams
  11. DE Praise Martin-Oguike

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Martin-Oguike, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Dolphins cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Unfortunately, Miami elected to not sign him to their practice squad and he wound up sitting out the entire 2017 season.

During this four-year college career, Martin-Oguike recorded 123 tackles, 27.5 tackles for a loss, 17.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, four recoveries, an interception and a pass defense.
