Cardinals Sign DL Red Bryant, Place OLB LaMarr Woodley On I.R.

The Arizona Cardinals have signed veteran DL Red Bryant to a contract on Thursday and placed OLB LaMarr Woodley on season-ending injured reserve.

Bryant, 31, just signed on with the Bills in August, but did not show enough to join the active roster. Bryant spent his first six season in Seattle, and played considerably well before joining the Jaguars last season.

The Bills signed him to a contract this summer, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

In 2014, Bryant appeared in all 16 games, accumulating 22 total tackles, 0.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. Bryant finished the season ranked as the No. 31 defensive end in a 4-3 system.

Woodley, 31, signed a one-year, $950,000 contract with the Cardinals back in March. He’ll test the free agent market again in 2016.

Woodley’s 2015 season ends with him appearing in 10 games and recording 10 tackles, one sack, and a pass defense for Arizona.
