Cardinals Sign DT Josh Mauro To Two-Year Contract

The Arizona Cardinals announced that they’ve signed DT Josh Mauro, who was set to be a restricted free agent, to a two-year contract on Thursday.

Mauro, 25, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2014. He was later waived and re-signed to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.

The Cardinals eventually signed Mauro off of the Steelers’ practice squad and elected to bring him back on an exclusive rights contract last year.

In 2016, Mauro appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals and recorded 32 tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.
