Cardinals Sign First-Round OT D.J. Humphries

The Cardinals have signed first-round OT D.J. Humphries to a four-year contract, according to Ian Rapoport.

  • Rapoport mentions that Humphries will receive a four-year contract worth $8.9 million, which includes a $4.74 million signing bonus.

Humphries was the last remaining draft pick from the Cardinals’ 2015 class to sign his rookie contract.

While it appeared as though Humphries could begin the season as the Cardinals’ starting right tackle, HC Bruce Arians made it clear that Humphries will have to earn the job over veteran Bobby Massie this summer.

Even so, Humphries is a very intriguing player for Arizona. Some draft analysts had him rated as the No. 1 offensive tackle in this year’s class, so it will be interesting to see what he’s able to do in year one.
