Ian Rapoport reports that the Cardinals have finally reached an agreement with first-round pick G Jonathan Cooper on a four-year deal.
- Adam Schefter reports that Cooper will receive $14.55 million fully guaranteed deal with offset language.
- The Cardinals get their offset language, but Cooper will receive a sizable signing bonus.
- He’ll receive his full signing bonus payment within the next two and half months. (Pro Football Talk)
This leaves Jets first-round pick CB Dee Milliner and Titans first-round pick G Chance Warmack as the only two rookies who remain unsigned.
Cooper should be a great addition to the Cardinals offensive line as his versatility and speed should bring a new dimension to their blocking scheme in the coming years. He figures to compete for Arizona’s starting left guard job.
