Cardinals Sign DEs Arthur Moats & Jacquies Smith

Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals are signing veteran DE Arthur Moats to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

  • The Cardinals announced Thursday that they’ve officially signed Moats and DE Jacquies Smith and waived DE Praise Martin-Oguike with an injury designation.

Moats was visiting with the Cardinals today and it looks like things went well enough for him to get an offer from the team.

Moats, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bills back in 2010. He played four seasons for the Bills before signing on with the Steelers in 2014.

Moats played out the final season of his three-year, $7.5 million contract with the Steelers and is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Moats appeared in 14 games for the Steelers and recorded eight talks and no sacks.
