Cardinals Sign LBs Josh Bynes & Terence Waugh, Cut Two

The Arizona Cardinals announced Saturday that they’ve signed linebackers Josh Bynes and Terence Waugh to contracts.

  • The Cardinals also waived WR Larry Clark and LB Gabe Martin (injured).

Should Martin pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Sunday.

Bynes, 27, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2011. He spent just over three years in Baltimore before he was waived and later signed to the Lions’ practice squad at the start of the 2014 season.

Detroit later signed Bynes to a two-year, $1.81 million contract in 2015 but cut him loose last year with an injury settlement. Bynes returned to the Lions midseason and finished out the year in Detroit.

In 2016, Bynes appeared in nine games for the Lions and recorded 38 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and four pass defenses.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
