Cardinals Sign RB Chris Johnson To A One-Year Deal Worth Up To $2M

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the Cardinals have agreed to terms with veteran RB Chris Johnson.

  • According to Glazer, the Johnson receives a one-year contract from Arizona.
  • Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that Johnson’s one-year contract is worth up to $2 million.
  • Cardinals HC Bruce Arians confirmed earlier in the day Johnson had passed his physical for the team.

Johnson, 29, was, unfortunately, involved drive by shooting back in March that took the life of a close friend who was sitting next to him in a car.

In 2014, Johnson ran for 663 yards on 155 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with 24 receptions for 151 yards receiving and two total touchdowns during the 2014 season. Pro Football Focus rated Johnson as the No. 46 running back out of 57 qualifying players.
