Cardinals Sign WR/KR Jeremy Ross

The Arizona Cardinals announced Wednesday that they’ve signed WR/KR Jeremy Ross to a contract, replacing WR Michael Floyd, who was placed on waivers.

Ross, 28, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2011. He played briefly for the Colts before joining the Packers in October of 2012.

The Lions would later sign him to a contract and give him an opportunity to their kick returner where Ross showed some ability. However, he was among the team’s final roster cuts before signing on to the Ravens’ practice squad.

Ross eventually signed on with the Raiders and finished out the year in Oakland. However, they didn’t tender him a contract as a restricted free agent.

The Jets signed him in April only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason. Ross has been on and off of the active roster since then.

In 2016, Ross has been active for four games and totaled 224 kick return yards for the Jets.
